Journey’s Intent are passionate about creating enriching and extraordinary safari experiences across Africa for their guests. From wildlife expeditions to romantic honeymoons, family adventures to milestone holidays, they aim to help people explore the magic that Africa has to offer and take them on the journey of a lifetime.

APPROACH

Journey’s Intent approached Foundry Digital for a logo, branding and the design and build of a website. Our design and development teams were tasked with creating a brand identity for Journey’s Intent, so that the essence of the unique experiences they offer could extend across the website and in any branded materials. As experts in safari experience, Journey’s Intent needed branding and a website representative of this, they were keen to have an interactive site with videos and hover effects to create a more immersive experience for the user.

ACTIONS

Our designers got to work creating a logo that could be universally recognised and included Journey’s Intents initials (JI). As the safaris they offer are family orientated, they needed a logo representative of this. Foundry Digital created a logo shaped in the eye of a big cat eye and within the shape are their initials, which give the illusion of a pupil. The shape of the ‘J’ within the logo is representative of a parent or guardian and the ‘I’ is representative of a child. Taken as a whole the logo is symbolic of a parent/guardian and a child experiencing and viewing things through the eyes of nature, the exact experience that Journey’s Intent offer. 

After confirmation of the logo and branding, our team began creating a website which clearly showcased the vast range of safari experiences offered by Journey’s Intent. The client wanted the homepage of the website to be interactive and impactful, our team created hoverspots and videos to grab the users attention from the offset. 

The various safaris on offer span across the African continent and it was important that this was displayed in a logical way to the user. Separate areas were created on the website for each location, with an interactive map and hoverspots allowing the user to find out fun facts about each location. Clear CTA’s link the different locations, experiences and itineraries to one another, allowing the user a seamless journey throughout the website.

 

RESULT

The brand, logo and new website developed for Journey’s Intent communicates their strong passion for travel, enriching experiences, and community. Users are immediately met with an interactive and engaging website which incorporates the stunning sights of Africa.

Each user is encouraged to explore and look further through the website with an easy to manage navigation bar, leading to individual pages that showcase everything that Journey’s Intent offer.
